Who we are

More Than a Robotics Team

Cafe Bot #4982 is a community-based FTC robotics team supported by the gracious help of sponsors and our team families. Through these limitations we strive to create incredible robots that win competitions.

Not only do we work on our robot throughout the season, but we also engage with the community to truly make a difference. Over the years we have ran blood drives with the Red Cross, hosted evens at local churches, and met with community leaders like the mayor of Crestwood to learn all about outreach and community involvement.

🤖
Engineering Excellence
We design, build, and program robots that compete at regional and state levels.
🤝
Community First
Outreach and volunteering are core to Cafe Bot, and FTC as a whole.
☕
Why the name "Cafe Bot"?
Cafe Bot is called this because you always get exceptional service at a cafe, and we do the same in our team. We strive for excellence in all fields of First Tech Challenge.

Award-Winning Robots

Cafe Bot competition robot
Built from scratch, every season

Each season, we build a new robot for a new challenge. From the day we learn about the challenge to the first meet, we are always thinking of innovative ways to create an extraordinary robot. Last season, 2025-26, we created a one-of-a-kind robot with a swerve drive, something no one else had. That robot led us to win the Inspire Award, the most prestigious award in FTC, and move on to the state level championship. This year, we hope to make an even better robot, and move on to greater heights.

Invest in the Next Generation

Being a community team, we sometimes struggle to find enough money to create great robots. We hope that your generosity will help us reach new heights in our robotics journey.
